I went the first week they opened. Very busy and it took a while for our order to be taken. Host came and apologized for the wait. Explained that a couple of the waitresses called out. Gave us free beer and appetizer. Food was great. While leaving the waitress told us the host was the owner. How funny! Can't wait to go back.

We got seated quickly because the restaurant was empty on a Friday night. However tons of young kids working and busy flirting with girls. So we watched a young man "clean" the hibachi next to us and place plates on the counter over crumbs of food. Also the grill had not been cleaned from the last service with food still on the cook top. For so many employees, you would think they could get the first course soup to the table faster then 20 minutes. People leave and tables sit dirty and unattractive for very long periods of time. At all other Hibachi places cooking areas are cleaned by cook and table are cleaned as they go. Soup was Luke warm. I will agree with others that the rice either seams old or undercooked, it is crunchy. The noodle-get rid of them !!! It's spaghetti noodles with some butter and teriyaki sauce mixed in. Uck. Even my carb craving kid would not eat them. Drop the noodles and give more then a 1/4 of veges. The steak was actually ok. Tender. However they have blocked in their grills with 2x4's and the cooks are constantly hitting their knives and cooking fork on it, anyone that has ever been in food service knows you don't use a wood surfaces area because it holds and breeds germs. My husband and I were done with our steak before my kids got her chicken. Last but not least the restaurant hibachi area is so brightly lit that there is no atmosphere. I know this is long but the establishment needs to know. This does not hold up to any of the other hibachi's in the area.

Bad food and bad restaurant experience. The noodles they served us was sour. Chicken tasted funny like freezer burnt on the rice we ordered. The soda we got have ants floating inside our cups. The fish on the sashimi platter was fishy. The manager or owner sat down on the bar eating, while playing with her iPad then helping costumers get seated on top of that chewing her food, it's very unprofessional. Sorry but we are not coming back.. Port Saint Lucie Diners Drive a few miles to Fujiyama for hibachi and japanese food or Kazu in Stuart.

Came here for a friend's birthday party. My party and I had to wait for seating at the hibachi area so we sat at the bar to wait. The bartenders had the best personalities. Honestly, I would have been happier if I stayed at the bar. We ordered some sushi munchies. Our server, Erica and hibachi chef, Jerry were a great pair to work together and they did a great job keeping us entertained and well taken care of. Here's the breakdown: -1 The sushi chefs messed up my friend's and birthday friend's sushi orders. Apparently doing custom orders is too difficult for Osaka sushi chefs to perform. The "custom" part of my friends' orders was only no rice in their hand rolls. That shows lack of creativity and attentiveness to making an order. They added rice the first time and then scraped it off. Ridiculous. -1 On my hibachi order, I specifically stated beef only and Jerry dropped shrimp on my plate. I believe Jerry was being harmless and cute but not when I am allergic to shrimp! In my opinion, he should have asked first regardless. -1 Only a few of us ordered land meals and the rest including birthday friend ordered from the sea. And here's the downside, the fish was not fresh. It made them sick. Really sick. I wonder if Osaka is aware that they are serving spoiled fish to their customers or we just got an unlucky batch of it. Either way, they should always inspect their foods before serving it out. They have a really nice, looking place here and it would be saddening to see them shut down because their food wasn't properly inspected. Please Osaka, inspect your foods! I want to have a better experience with you next time.

I wasn't going to write a review because I hate to be negative but I decided I need to give my opinion. We were a party of 4. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and very clean. Our waiter was amazing! The salad was delish. Yaki Soba was okay. White rice was hard! If you can't cook rice, you should not be in a Japanese kitchen. Tempura veggies were okay. Not a lot of flavor and very greasy. Couldn't tell what some of the veggies were. Sashimi was our biggest issue. Some pieces had to be exchanged a FEW times because it was chewy and not fresh. There are other restaurants in the area that are much better.

We had our Son's Wedding rehearsal dinner here last week. There were 36 of us and they accommodated us. Not only did they make the room for all of us at the hibachi but they gave us a great price and some bottles of wine. We were 100% pleased with the service and the food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for date night or family dinner or even a big celebration. Thank you Osaka.

Delicious, friendly service and a favorite sushi spot! I have had sushi all over and this place is one of my favorites. Nice modern atmosphere, clean dining area and nice ambiance. We have eaten here a few times, have recommended to friends and the consensus is that this place is a keeper!

The food was fresh and delicious with an average price for Japanese Habatchi . The atmosphere was very lively for a Sunday evening for the in season of the holidays. The service was adequate but could use a bus boy to clean up the tables instead of the servers. My chef was talented and loved to pour/squirt saki down your throat like a Free saki drink. The restaurant is New and Clean as well as the people working there...please be patient with them as they are learning their customers. Hopefully they keep up the quality and service and become a mainstay for this area. I will recommend this place for sushi, steak and seafood Habatchi. I am sure to revisit this restaurant in the near future.

Beautiful restaurant. Diners have the option of sitting at the hibachi or in the private dining area. We opted for the more private dining area. Waitress was very attentive and explained the menu to us. We ordered the sashimi and sushi platter for 2. Reasonably priced for the quality and amount of food. Platter was a work of art and sushi was perfectly done. I will return!

So good. I love the atmosphere. Very modern and striking. The food is also great and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely comeback in the future. I recommend the hibachi. And the sushi is is also pretty good. Very friendly bartender and the service is great. It can get busy since the restaurant is fairly new but worth the wait.

Love the atmosphere of this place and the food is served beautifully. There is something for everyone, even the picky eater. The fried noodles are delish and hubby always loves the sushi. We all love the onion and mushroom soup, and only wish we could order it by the bowl. The food takes time, so don't go starving, and it can be a bit cold inside, so the onion soup can solve both those problems

Wonderful hibachi restaurant on highway US 1. The fried rice and noodles were delicious. The salmon was caramelized to perfection. The chicken hibachi meal was of enormous quantity. Price was proportioned correctly to the quantity of the food served. Get ready to have water squirted your way and some food thrown at you, all in good laughter and games.

Amazing fresh sushi! Eat there all the time never had a bad experience, the Martin role is especially delicious, spicy tuna roll is the best I've had. Would definitely recommend!

This was such a wonderful experience! We had Erica for our server & Jerry for our hibachi chef - they were both professional, comical, & personal! The food was excellent [we had the combo - I had (huge) scallops & shrimp, my husband had chicken & shrimp]! We both had a whole other meal to bring home. Better than Benihana! The atmosphere was clean, sheik, and not typical of this area! Go here to eat! You will not be disappointed!

Terrible and inefficient service. I spent the majority of my meal without a drink and the food was mediocre at best. There is no chance that I'll make the drive all the way out there again.

First, let me say how happy I am to have this restaurant in the neighborhood. It's in a location that has been both a Roadhouse Steakhouse and a Duffy's so it's nice to have something fill the space. I'm a bit torn on how to leave this review because there are things I really like and other things that completely leave me cold and could use improvement. Best to just get started... The most interesting thing is the decor. The design is very modern, sleek and striking. The feel is expansive and open with many interesting design features such as backlit columns, lighted faux cherry trees and interesting colors. I've eaten here several times and would highly suggest the management lower the overhead lighting to take full advantage of the ambient lighting and shiny surfaces. It's just too bright and distracting. The restaurant has distinct areas with a separate Hibachi dining room, menu dining room (with attached sushi bar) and the a bar area. Although you can get a full Hibachi menu in the main dining room, it is nothing like the food that is prepared at the tables. The menu items are drenched in Teriyaki and do not taste Hibachi at all but more like a stir fry. This isn't to say they are bad, just a bit of false advertising. I've tried the Teriyaki Steak and it was delicious. The sauce was perfect and the entree was served on a wonderful bed of onions and other veggies. All entrees are served with a ginger salad and miso soup. I prefer the onion soup and have always been allowed to substitute for it at no extra charge (which is a rarity in Japanese restaurants). The ginger dressing is actually quite odd and has a strong mayonnaise flavor that ends up tasting vaguely of Thousand Island dressing. Not horrible but not what one normally expects. The Tempura was was not terrible but not so good either. It isn't the crisp and crunchy style but more of a thicker breaded version which unfortunately always seems to hold more of the cooking oil. The light teriyaki dipping sauce is basically a flavorless liquid that does nothing but wet the tempura. I would not suggest it to anyone. The sushi is good although I only eat the vegetable variety. The presentation is pretty with palm leaves and flowers and an abundance of ginger and wasabi. The chef might rely too much on avocado, which I like, but it is used to excess here. The Hibachi rooms are a lot of fun. The table chefs are quite entertaining and the food is very similar to a Benihana experience. Overall, I like this place. Lots of little things could use improvement but you should consider giving Osaka a try!

Can't remember having worse service than what we experienced here... had to ask for menus 3 times, got drinks wrong, had to ask for straws repeatedly, no flatware provided when salad arrived ... the food was not good enough to make up for the abysmal service... and no the place was not slammed and not even busy... no excuses just pathetic regard for the customer.... the cost would have let me enjoy Sakura 5 times for what we paid here.....won't be coming back here again.... do yourselves a favor and don't waste your money or your aggravation.

The place was empty for a Saturday night. Thought that was a bit odd. Our waiter had little to no experience and we couldn't help but feel bad for the guy. Food was OK, but my hibachi dinner came out ten minutes before my husbands sushi. We also ordered take out sushi a month prior and the sushi tasted like it had been sitting around for a while.

My son and I went because the menu for the grand opening was inserted into the local moneysaver. We love sushi and thought we would give it a try. Disappointing from the moment we were greeted... "Only two tonight"... Nice greeting. The host walked us into a poorly lite large room that had absolutely no warmth for a dining experience. We were sat in a booth that belonged in a diner! I peeked down a hall where I saw that they had a Hibachi area.... The host never asked us if we were interested! The server was so timid and shy she was afraid to talk. We started to order, my son asked for the first appetizer that he wanted and she walked away? Are you kidding me? What about what I wanted to order? I had to flag her down to place my appetizer order. I ordered the " Spicy Tuna Tornado", sounds delicious right? Spicy crunchy tuna wrapped with a layer avocado and fried onion, tobiko topped with spicy mayo...yum!! What was made was so disgusting!! For starters the"tuna" was put into a food processor which turned it into baby food mush!! The crunchy part was a light sprinkle of micro crunch( barley could even see it)...this mush was a scoop on the plate with slices if avocado layered like lady fingers... I was brave enough to taste a little of it..,, it tasted and had the texture of "CAT FOOD"!! I told the shy server nicely that it was not what I expected and I did not want to order anything else. The server was so unprofessional, she made it gossip in this horrible place! She had the host peer around the corner at us as well as the chef... This place does not deserve anyone's business... Food disgusting, management and staff very unprofessional! If this restaurant makes it 4 months that will be a miracle for them! Horrible horrible experience... Go to Publix right behind the restaurant..., the BEST SUSHI AROUND!!!

My boyfriend and I dropped in for lunch last week and it was amazing! Granted, the restaurant was empty, but we had great service and great food! The sushi came out right away and from our seats we could see it being prepared. We both had the seared tuna rolls and my boyfriend also got the salmon roll. It was all delicious and fresh! We also got some noodle dishes that were affordable and great! My vegetables were cooked perfectly and so was his beef. The cocktails were on the expensive side but the Osaka sunrise was pretty good though I asked for extra pineapple as the waitress warned it would be very strong. Overall, amazing late lunch and will definitely be returning!

This was THE most horrible dining experience I have ever experienced. We were a party of 14 + 2 babies, a birthday party. Unfortunately, after 1.5 hours of waiting we still had no chef. We decided to leave. We paid our $60 tab for dirty tap lined beer and mediocre sushi appetizers...yummy. The what seemed to be poorly trained staff was fumbling the entire time taking one drink order\appetizer at a time and them leaving the room. After this "happy hour" our friends were getting a bit hot and hungry. The grill tables along with our appetites were hot and ready! Still no show of our grill master...I was however able to find the switch to turn the overhead hood on to allow proper ventilation for my friends. This was seriously a CULINARY NIGHTMARE!!!!! I can't believe that there is an actual public venue serving food under such ignorant management! We are extremely saddened by this establishment although beautiful, WE WILL NEVER BE BACK!!!!

Osaka opened in May 2014 in the Publix Plaza. Great lunch prices in sushi (2 rolls, soup and salad either $8 or $8.99). Have not tried the hibachi grill. The interior is really nice, and seats about 125

My friend and I deceided to go out for a Steak dinner last night and were driving on US 1 and noticed Osaka "Steakhouse". We made a quick U-turn and headed to Osaka...What a mistake. The place looked OK and the Illuminated Faux cherry trees are lovely, that is where lovely stops. We were led into a large dining room and seated at a booth and then presented menus by our server, Cindy. We ordered warm Sake to start, it was fine. I then asked Cindy what the special sauce was, on the calamari. She stated, "oh it's really really good". When we asked what was in it or what style of sauce it was she had a confused look on her face and said she would have to check. She returned and stated it was a ginger sauce...Really really good. We ordered an order of Calamari to share as an appetizer and then I ordered the Tempura Shrimp and my friend went with the NY Strip Teriyaki. When the calamari arrived we each took a ring and attempted to bite into it, but it was so tough you couldn't chew it. We told the server that we didn't want it as it was tough and she tried to order us another one, but we said no thanks. About 10 minutes passed and another server delivered my friends Steak Teriyaki. It was served with a brown rice and what I thought were soba noodles and some veggies. The server walked away and left me sitting with no entree. After about 10 minutes passed, my friend got up and asked the manager what happened to my entree. He went to check and said it would be just another few minutes. Five minutes later my shrimp tempura was delivered. the presentation was nice, but the shrimp was not Tempura, but rather a very "bready" covering with a layer of panko bread crumbs, kind of a soggy setup. There were some tempura veggies to accompany the soggy shrimp. I ate a few pieces and the veggies, but couldn't stomach any more of it. Suffice it to say that this place was a big disappointment and neither me nor my friend will ever return to this place...In fact, I don't expect that it will survive very long if they continue to serve this crap.
